clip of the week: Jason Singler and DIY ripping

Marginal Way is one of those infamous D.I.Y. Pacific Northwestern skateparks that we'd all love to have in our towns. Underground guy Jason Singler is more than delighted to tear it apart on a daily basis in Seattle.

clip of the week: Tony Hawk + Independent

Say what you will about Tony Hawk and his mainstreamedness. But the Birdman still kills it at the ripe old age of 44. He just signed with Indy Trucks this week and put out this clip, pretty nuts.

Introducing Winter Wednesdays

Since we've recently started closing on Mondays and Tuesdays for the winter, we want to make it up to you. So we're introducing Winter Wednesdays!

Here's how it works, from now through the end of February, every single Wednesday there are purchase incentives. They are:

  • Spend $30 or more, get a $10 gift certificate
  • Spend $70 or more, get a $15 gift certificate
  • Spend $100 or more, get a $25 gift certificate

The price tiers cannot be combined (you'll get the gift certificate of the price category your purchase falls into and not any below it).

We'll also be running unannounced contests and giveaways on Wednesdays. So if you've got some shopping to do and can hold out till Wednesday from the beginning of the week, it'll pay off to just stop in.

Happy Winter Wednesdays!

Jetty + Waves 4 Water Mizu reusable water bottles now at The Shack Board Shop

There is still plenty of work that needs to be done right now and for months and years to come to get our greater Long Beach Island community back to some sort of normalcy. Lots of great things have already happened and are continuing to happen, but there is endless hours of it to come.

If you are looking for another way to contribute to the local cause here, Alliance For A Living Ocean just gave us the very first box of the Jetty + Waves 4 Water Mizu reusable water bottles featured in The SandPaper this week. Just like the t-shirts and sweatshirts (which we still have a couple left of), 100% of the profits go to W4W.

The Mizu reusable stainless steel canteens serve multiple purposes: they cut down on single use plastic water bottles; they keep plastics out of our waterways; they prevent consumption of leached chemicals from single use plastic water bottles; they cut down our need for petroleum; and these ones specifically will help to rebuild our community!

Stop in today at our store in the Manahawkin Mart and grab one to support our local community and give your vote to a great environmental cause!

This week's clip comes from our very own Kyle McCormick and Jetty's Tony Coon. The footage is a little old, but this is the first time it's seen the light of day, so peeps it and enjoy some solid skating at our local spots.

clip of the week: James Pitonyak is straight filthy

Good friend of The Shack, Trenton based skater James Pitonyak just dropped his most recent edit last week, and it's pretty ridiculous. He is truly one of the most under-rated skaters in all of New Jersey. Watch, enjoy, and get hyped to go rip yourself!
