clip of the week: Zero's Cold War is coming...

It's been a long, long time since the skateboarding world has been rewarded with patience in the form of a Zero movie. But that day is finally coming. October 2013 Cold War will finally be here. Stay tuned for details on the premiere we'll be having in the shop—definitely one of the flicks we're most excited about this year (as you should be). In the meantime, enjoy two commercials from the parts we're guessing will be pretty good...

Epicly Later'd: Brandon Westgate

VICE TV just did an "Epicly Later'd" with Mr. Brandon Westgate, and simply put, it's pretty awesome (then again, all of VICE's "Epicly Later'd"s are pretty awesome). One of the most underappreciated skaters around for sure, you can watch all 3 episodes below. We just got a new run of his shoe in from Emerica the other day, and word is that Emerica's new flick "Made In Emerica" is coming out very very soon...

shoe of the week: Lakai's Guy XLK

company: Lakai
skater: Guy Mariano
color-way: black/white suede
weight: 12.3 ounces (for a size 9)
construction: The new Guy features Lakai's classic XLK outsole with color pods in the heel and forefoot for enhanced traction and durability. Branding has been pushed to the heel of the upper to create a minimalist feel in the quarter panel area, which is detailed with subtle reflective perf highlights. The longer, seamless open toe cap makes the shoe more durable against wear in that area. Look closer though, and you'll see a stitch detail outline which creates a unique toe cap feel when viewed from above. A great shoe for avid skateboarding use.
price: $70

clip of the week: New Jersey ripping by Ron Deily and Thrasher

No taglines, no weird songs in tv and radio ads. Just straight up Jersey boy Ron Deily doing it proper for a Hurricane Sandy devastation clip by ripping. Plus to the tune of Mr. New Jersey himself, Bruce Springsteen. And props to it being featured on Thrasher's homepage and getting major play.
